https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Never_Gonna_Give_You_Up

"Never Gonna Give You Up" is a single by Rick Astley, released in 1987, written and produced by Stock Aitken Waterman. The song was released as the first single from his debut album, Whenever You Need Somebody (1987). The song was a worldwide number-one hit, initially in the singer's native United Kingdom in 1987, where it stayed at the top the chart for five weeks and was the best-selling single of that year. It eventually topped the charts in 25 countries, including the United States and West Germany.[5] "Never Gonna Give You Up" hit number one in the U.S. in March 1988 after it was played by resident DJ, Larry Levan, at the Paradise Garage in 1987.[6]

The song won Best British Single at the 1988 Brit Awards. In 2004, it was voted number 28 in 50 Most Awesomely Bad Songs... Ever by VH1.

The music video for the song has become the basis for the "Rickrolling" Internet meme. In 2008, Rick Astley won the MTV Europe Music Award for Best Act Ever with the song, as a result of collective voting from thousands of people on the internet, due to the popular phenomenon of Rickrolling. It was also featured as a downloadable track for the Rock Band series.

The song is considered Astley's signature song and it is often played at the end of Astley's live concerts. During a live performance, usually on the last verse, Rick sometimes shouts out to the audience that he is feeling "bloody marvellous" or in other countries that he is feeling "fantastic" after the line "And if you ask me how I'm feeling." to have some banter with the audience.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Whiskey_in_the_Jar

"Whiskey in the Jar" is a well-known Irish traditional song, set in the southern mountains of Ireland, often with specific mention of counties Cork and Kerry, as well as Fenit, a village in County Kerry. The song is about a Rapparee (Highwayman), who is betrayed by his wife or lover, and is one of the most widely performed traditional Irish songs. It has been recorded by numerous professional artists since the 1950s.

The song first gained wide exposure when the Irish folk band The Dubliners performed it internationally as a signature song, and recorded it on three albums in the 1960s. In the U.S., the song was popularized by The Highwaymen, of "Michael Row the Boat Ashore" fame, who recorded it on their 1962 album Encore [1](United Artists UAL 3225, mono and UAS 6225, stereo) and many argue that it's the most authentic folk version produced in America. Building on their success, the Irish rock band Thin Lizzy hit the Irish and British pop charts with the song in the early 1970s. In 1990 The Dubliners re-recorded the song with The Pogues with a faster rocky version charting at No.4 in Ireland and No.63 in the UK. The American metal band Metallica brought it to a wider rock audience in 1998 by playing a version very similar to that of Thin Lizzy's, though with a heavier sound, winning a Grammy for the song in 2000 for Best Hard Rock Performance. Also recorded by The Killdares.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Parisienne_Walkways

"Parisienne Walkways" is a song by the guitarist Gary Moore that reached number 8 in the UK Singles Chart in May 1979.[1] The song is a track from the album Back on the Streets and features a vocal from Thin Lizzy front man, Phil Lynott, who co-wrote the song with Moore. The melody is based on the jazz standard "Blue Bossa" by Kenny Dorham.[2] It was Gary Moore's signature song.[3]

The guitarist continued to play the song as an encore at concerts throughout his career. A live version of the track, recorded at The Royal Albert Hall, was released in 1993 as part of a limited edition 4-track CD single entitled "Parisienne Walkways '93" and went on to reach #32 in the UK Singles Chart.[4][5] This version appeared on Moore's 1993 live album Blues Alive and was also included on the 2002 compilation album The Best Air Guitar Album In The World....II. The original single and a (previously unreleased?) 1983 live version feature as the first and final track on the 2006 compilation, The Platinum Collection.

The Shadows covered it on their 1979 album String of Hits.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/I_Want_to_Break_Free

"I Want to Break Free" (About this sound sample (help·info)) is a song by British rock band Queen, from their eleventh studio album The Works (1984). Written by bassist John Deacon, it was distributed as a single on 7-inch and 12-inch vinyl records and 3-inch and 5-inch CDs. The song had three versions: album, single and extended, differing in length by more than a factor of 2. It came to be included in most live concerts by the group, in several videos, and in The Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert where it was sung by Lisa Stansfield.

The song is largely known for its music video for which all the band members dressed in women's clothes, a concept proposed by Roger Taylor, which parodied the long-running ITV soap opera Coronation Street. The second part of the video included a composition rehearsed and performed with the Royal Ballet and choreographed by Wayne Eagling. Whereas the parody was acclaimed in the United Kingdom, it was considered controversial in the United States and banned by MTV[2] and other stations. After its release in 1984 the single of the song was well received all over Europe and South America, where it was listed within top ten and regarded as an anthem of fight against oppression. The single reached only the 45th position in the US charts, but reached number 3 in the UK and was certified silver with 200,000+ copies sold.[3]

https://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Have_You_Ever_Seen_the_Rain%3F
